It was such a joy and an honor to meet you at the Expressive Arts Egypt Festival. Your energy was absolutely uplifting, and the way you held and connected the community was truly inspiring. I personally gained so much from this experience, both in terms of personal growth and professional insight

I really admire your thoughtful care and smooth organization. Can’t wait to join again next year and truly hope we’ll meet again in other EAT spaces too!

With warmest thanks,

Didi Zhang

Thank you so much Aisha! For believing in me, giving me chances and being always there for me

I cannot imagine how do you manage it all. I am good in flow, depth and creativity, but the structures I build are not sustainable. I want to learn how to manage this sistem I am trying to create, to organise it and mostly to maintain alive all these connections. and I am curious where you could share about that, offer a little training or so. I believe this information will be valid not only for me, and I don't think this knowledge is possible to squeeze in one hour of supervision.

I feel like I keep expanding and learning new things.

Thank you Aisha, your team and all the presenters… it was such a privilege to present, and attend, world class presentations,… to learn from across the globe and share in the similarities of growing through rooted connections. I look forward to staying connected on the journey to follow. This festival celebrated your mom and may the proceeds truly brings lightness to those affected by cancer in Egypt.

My dreamcatcher from this evening's workshop, Sacred Dreamcatcher. For me it was really a patience-testing task, for others it seemed like a joyful task. And so many amazing dreamcatchers were made which inspired me to try again.

Dear Aisha, Thank you for everything, the organization, the invitation to have us all together. Congratulations for what you have achieved!

José Miguel

Congratulations on the success of the Expressive Arts Egypt Festival! I was able to attend a few of the workshops, only a small portion of the 65 you organized, and they were absolutely incredible. It’s truly impressive how you managed to create such a rich experience both online and in person.

To be a part of an international community in my field is a great joy. I was delighted to be invited to be a part of the online Expressive Arts Egypt Festival 2025 hosted by Aisha Mahmoud Radwan, AND to be among a great line-up of respected colleagues. This festival brought together participants from over 30 countries with more than 65 workshops at a very affordable price. It was from October 3-19th. Everyone was welcome - creative folks, expressive arts practitioners, therapists, coaches, etc.

I’ve been reflecting on how our creative roots shape who we are and how we live. Some of us were born into families of artists, musicians, or dancers. Others discovered expression in our own way, through painting, movement, writing, or ritual. However it arrives, creativity carries a lineage, a thread of vitality and wisdom that can guide us toward deeper purpose. Together, we explored these roots through art-making, movement, and writing practices that invite us to listen inward and honor where we’ve come from.

Let’s come together in community to honor our creativity and expand into what’s possible.

Watching the field of expressive arts grow in other countries into vibrant training centers is so satisfying!

Thank you Aisha Mahmoud Radwan for all of your dedication to making this a comprehensive and diverse offering, and your contribution to the work at large .

My hat is off to you!

Thank you Aisha for coordinating and facilitating a sterling event. It was touching to connect with attendees from all over the world.

I am speechless. I have no idea how much I have received and how long it will take to integrate. It feels like a quantum leap. We are weaving a new reality and it's so beautiful, so joyful, safe and light. It's all possible. Thank you for being brave and taking this risk. Thank you for being you. Wish you the happiest celebration 🙏🏻✨🌞❤️💫🫂💕

Wow 😍💕 it was really hard to leave after all these days together, 😊 hopefully now you are already enjoying your vacation and celebration 🎊 at the sea. Sending my love to you and the beautiful Egyptian Land and Sea 💕✨ Claiming to hug you next year on whatever land we will meet🫂❤️

Beautiful time together. May the weaving continue. May we remember to shine our lights in our unique ways in the dark spaces, may we transform our pain into purpose. May we continue to co-create with the universe to join the symphony of life.

I was expecting to visit the series of workshops, but I felt like the doors of the greatest university rooms were opening up for me to share and exchange. I am so grateful, Aisha, it overcame all my expectations. Now I really feel that my graduation is complete after the training with you. I feel like I could take it all that had been offered.

I can tell you that this festival was like a cherry on a cake of our 400h EXAT training. When I was joining the 2 year program in October, in my mind it was supposed to end also in October 😅so when in May it was suddenly over, I was not ready for that, my inner process was telling me something different. I felt it was incomplete, I felt something is missing.

In October you brought me to the festival (and I say YOU, because I felt how much energy it cost to go through my resistance, I am grateful to the moon and back that I could be a part of it).

The festival itself included all I was missing, meeting teachers from all over the world, learning about the history and development of EXAT, meeting the founders of the method, or I'd rather say the discoverers) Learning all these new ways, approaches and techniques, I was so curious to learn. To see all the variety of ways the work could be done🤩

Thank you Aisha for creating such an inspiring expressive arts symposium with humans from all over the world joining virtually. It also gave me the chance to offer for the first time my he(art) based innovation workshop, where participants learned about ideation, design and the scientific inquiry process, all the while encouraged to play and invent something poetic the world needs. Sustainable innovation must start with personal meaning and authentic stories, taking care of our planet as we heal our collective humanity.

Wow!! Dear Aisha ✨ thinking of you and feeling your energy coming directly from the sun !🌞

What a tremendous tribute to your dear mother.💖

This has been a gift for everyone that will continue to ripple. I salute your vision and brazen spirit for seeing it through.

I imagine you are getting ready to leave to your beach house soon and enjoy. Wishing you you so much “rest and digest” ☺️

Love, love , Amal, Hope and Peace for ALL beings ✨🙏🏽✨

want to say congratulations on a fantastic festival, very impressed! I truly appreciated being part of it. It was lovely to be reminded of my own roots in the expressive arts, even though my current practice has evolved within the field of art psychotherapy here in the UK. Although my preferred modality is working with concrete materials, I have always believed in the interconnectedness of the arts, with embodiment at the heart of all art therapies.

For me, it was especially the conversations earlier initiated by Shaun McNiff and Judy Rubin that stayed with me. The split between art therapy and the expressive arts is something I’ve given a lot of thought to, as I have, for the past two years, found myself between the two practices. I’ve also reflected on the divisions between practitioners in education, therapy, and other contexts. There is much to say about it, but perhaps that’s for another time.

I truly believe the future of the art therapies here in England will become more integrative, especially within community work and schools.

When it comes to my own experience of contributing a workshop, it was lovely to see what everyone brought from their natural surroundings and what was created. As you suggested, I could have added the theoretical reflection at the end of the workshop, something I’ll keep in mind for next time.

I think gatherings like this festival are very much needed in today's world to inspire, connect and foster hope through our shared passion for the arts across cultures.

Hope to connect again soon, dear, and wishing you a well-deserved rest!

Hello Aisha, I would like to take this moment to thank you once again for the expressive arts egypt festival. I have truly learnt a lot and was able to embrace my vulnerability within the safe spaces provided by the virtual meetings 🥰 I will dedicate a post for you and the festival on cwtnicole.exat on instagram soon, after conceptualising what I have learnt and reflected through words!

also I filled in and responded to the feedback form just now

I so sincerely and authentically want to thank you - OK you are such a good soul. I could feel it even though we are very far away from each other! What you created is amazing and I’m sure your mother is just beaming with pride. This was absolutely amazing and I wish I could’ve been a more active participant.

I hope and I pray that we will be able to meet face-to-face one day! I am so honored and privileged to be a part of this festival. I cannot thank you enough for including me. You are an amazing, amazing woman who is making great things happen in our world. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Jennifer La Civita

If you remember, I told you it is not convenient for the people to watch the recording with a small capture of the speaker when I was in Egypt. However, I can understand your intention more deeply after the festival is finished. They are not only workshops, knowledge…. but also the humanistic connections. It is a community. I witnessed a beautiful community from different generations of EXAT, even we may have different stages, perspectives or approaches on practicing EXAT. We can be so open-minded and inclusive. Such beautiful

Emily from Hong Kong

You are a force of nature!!! I am not sure how you pulled this huge festival together, but you did it brilliantly

I am delighted to hear that the recordings will be available to watch at a later time. There were so many workshops that I wanted to attend but couldn't due to time difference and/or busy schedule. What a treat to be able to watch them still! Thank you! And may I say, as much as I don't think anything compares to in person Expressive Arts, it was amazing being able to participate online and to meet colleagues and teachers from all over the world. The online offering made it all possible and I am very grateful for it.

I am also excited that you are continuing this journey with monthly gatherings. I will make sure to stay tuned in and participate in as many as I can.

Thank you again for the special treat, I hope you get some rest, and I am looking forward to future gatherings.

Thanks too for your support, invitation, and thoughtful words, Aisha. It's been a joy and honor to get to know you a little and hear about what you are doing in the field of Expressive Arts. Please stay in touch and let me know about future events going on.

With deep respect and gratitude,

Dear Aisha,

I do want to congratulate you on putting together such an intensive and extensive event, with a mixture of in-person and virtual presentations, involving so many people from so many countries. You must have a lot of energy, and it is clear that you have a great deal of passion and commitment to spreading the word about expressive arts therapy. I wish you well in all your future endeavors.

I'm very impressed by what you have accomplished so far.

Warm Regards,

Dear Aisha,

I just wanted to take a moment to tell you how truly proud I am of you. What you created with this year’s Expressive Arts Festival is incredible. Making it this big, this meaningful, and bringing people from all over the world together is no small achievement.

I’m also very proud that you are Egyptian. That feels especially important right now. I genuinely believe that the world is shifting, and leadership and wisdom are no longer only coming from the West. It’s our turn, the South’s turn, the Roots. “Going Back to the Roots” was such a powerful and meaningful name for the festival, and it was reflected in everything you created.

I just finished watching all the festival videos you uploaded. Thank you so much for sharing them, and for your generosity in making this work accessible. It really shows who you are.

You are incredibly talented, a natural and inspiring leader, and I deeply admire you and your work. I truly do!

Mera Abdelmalek

Once more, I tell you that your smile is a Festival in another dimension!

I don´t know if you be conscious of the incredible invitation you and your team has done.

IEATA needs this new enthusiasm! Like fresh air, like a kiss in our souls.

I love you and I offer my inconditional support in whatever you need

A big hug from the far south,

Graciela Bottini

Thank you for creating this amazing festival for all of us during these very dark and challenging times. Your work is an inspiration and gift that invites us to share our gifts. We are all needed to celebrate and collaborate.

Warmest blessing to you!
